Windows, thinclient, netbook and cloud computing

Thinclient failed miserably last time, basically because the 'rich' client is even cheaper than it. Windows vista didnt do so well either. But just look at netbooks, they sell so many those days, even before recession, it's just CHEAP. I wonder instead of the weird price items from windows, why not try to sell a basic windows at $10-20, then add advance features through different packages for more money.
