The Microsoft Office Fluent user interface overview - Help and How-to - Microsoft Office Online:

After trying to use this interface for 6 months, I gave us and uninstalled it. I have gone back to Office 2003. The problem with the Fluent User interface is that it ignores EXISTING fluent users who already know where the functions exist. New versions of Office also ignore the magnitude of the effort for an experienced user to relearn new user interfaces in Word and Excel. One small change to the fluent user interface would make this software much more useful, that change would be to add a VIEW... CLASSIC option that would allow Office 2008 to present classic menus and menu items allowing truly fluent users to find everything once again, instead of having to migrate back to their old versions of word."

well said, but I dont have a choice. :(
