MVC separates the view from model and put all events into controller, not sure how valuable about processing your hard coded config value in your controller is over actual events, but for the model-view part, unless you really have a need for multiple looks (not through css stuff or component based web elements), you can always re-factor your code when needed, right? Isnt that what those tech chasers always claim?
